Equipment List

In support of the Rangers and Schools within the Queen Elizabeth National Park Uganda we are trying to source the following items of equipment. (Preferably as donations)

You can either buy the item yourself and donate it to us, we will then ensure that it is shipped out to Uganda or you can donate money specially to this aspect of our Project and we will purchase on your behalf.

Some items are low cost such as wind up torches and mosquito nets. These help keep Rangers and their families safe.

Binoculars (old or new) are important for wildlife observation work and also in the battle to keep the wildlife safe.

We also also looking for people to sponsor or donate handheld GPS. These are used by the Patrol Rangers to record vital information such as the movements and location of endangered animals and as an anti-poaching tool.

Another item of importance are portal solar panels to power electric equipment used in conservation and also to be able to take laptops out to schools to improve communications between the Uganda and UK schools.

Pens, pencils and exercise books are always very gratefully received by the local school children as are balls, skipping ropes, and other similar items.

The largest item we are looking for is a used 4x4 which will be used by the Community Rangers to travel to the remote schools and communities.

If you can help with any of these items please contact the Twinning Project at enquiries@queenelizabethparks.org

The Twinning Project is especially keen to receive donations of mosquito nets. If you buy a net we will make sure that it

gets to a Ranger, local child or community member living in the Queen Elizabeth National Park.

You will be helping to save lives
