Kafuro Primary School is a remote school situated about 1/2 hour from the Queen Elizabeth National Park's headquaters at Mweya.
The school contains 320 children and has 6 Classrooms.
Although like most schools in Uganda it is state funded
it still suffers from a lack of accommodation for teachers and run down facilities.
One of its key ambitions is to rebuild some of its older buildings.

Four Ugandan Rangers visited Liss Junior school during September 2009 and were treated to a tour of the school and also got the chance to meet many of the pupils.
The children asked many interesting questions of the Rangers and most of which were about the wildlife that they encountered.
Liss also made a generous donation of £100 towards rebuilding a classroom at Kafuro and so on behalf of The Governors and Teaching Staff of Kafuro, the Rangers expressed thier thanks to Liss Junior School and the Twinning Project for their wonderful gift.
Liss Junior Schools has plans to exchange traditional stories and music with its Twinned school of Kafuro Primary and like other schools in the Twinning Project are keen to try and create an internet link with their Ugandan twin.
