QENP Tourism Manager visits QECP

Agnes Nakidde the Warden-in-charge of tourism at the Queen Elizabeth National Park paid a flying visit to Queen Elizabeth Country Park recently. Having attended (with colleagues from UWA) the World Travel Market event at the Excel Centre in London, Agnes managed to spend a few days meeting with some of the Project Team and visiting some of the Twinned Schools.

Agnes said ‘I really enjoyed my visit, especially to the schools, I feel that I can go back to Uganda and spread the word about the Twinning Project.

Katunguru Primary School Film a Real Winner

The Twinning Project has commission some films about our Twinned Schools in Uganda, The first film featured Katunguru Primary School. The idea of the films is to give the English Twinned Schools an understand of what life is like in Uganda and to answer some of the questions that the English children have about their Ugandan counterparts.

The Children of Hart Plain Junior School really enjoyed the film of Katunguru. Teacher Tara Howland said "This helps to make the twinning arrangement come to life"

The Project is planning to produce a film about each of the Ugandan Twinned Schools as well as some of the community groups and Park Staff.
