Visit From the Ugandan High Commissioner to the UK
On Tuesday 6th July 2010 the Ugandan High Commissioner Her Excellency Joan Rwabyomere visited Queen Elizabeth Country Park in Hampshire.

Her Excellency is the Patron of the Queen Elizabeth Parks Twinning Project and was keen to see the Country Park.
During her visit she met children from the Twinned Schools in England, members of the Park Staff and Volunteers from the Queen Elizabeth Parks Twinning Project.
After a series of presentations and a rousing speech from the High Commissioner, she was given a guided tour of the Country Park before meeting some of the Park Team.

Project Leader Steve Peach said " This was a momentous day for the Twinning Project and all of those involved. Having someone as important as the Ugandan High Commissioner taking an interest in our Project shows that all the hard work put in by the Volunteers in England and Uganda is very much appreciated. This visit and the support of the High Commissioner gives a moral boost to everyone"

The High Commissioner promised to return to the Country Park and said that she would maintain her interest in the Project and she would make sure that she visited some of the schools and communities around the Queen Elizabeth National Park next time she returned to her Ugandan home near Fort Portal.
