The Queen Elizabeth Parks Twinning Project
was created to bring together the individuals, schools and communities of Queen Elizabeth National Park in Uganda and Queen Elizabeth Country Park in Hampshire, England.
It is a project of cultural exchange, mutual support and has its main emphasis on supporting Conservation through working closely with and empowering local communities.
The Project is run by the Staff and Volunteers of both Parks and is supported by the Ugandan Wildlife Authority and in England by Hampshire County Council, the Forestry Commission and the English Ranger Association.
All involved volunteer their time by helping in fund raising, organising the projects, working with local communities and schools in promoting community conservation action in both Queen Elizabeth Parks.

Why A Twinning Project?
The idea of ‘Twinning the Queen Elizabeth Parks’ came about when Charles Etoru from QENP and Steve Peach from QECP met when they both attended the International Ranger Federation Congress in Kruger National Park, South Africa.
Finding that they were both presenting displays about Queen Elizabeth Parks, a friendship was made and the idea of ‘Twinning the Parks’ was born.
