Nyakatonzi Primary School
Has about 600 pupils and 13 teachers. There are 6 classrooms.
The school is in a remote location overlooking the Queen Elizabeth National Park in Western Uganda.
The local landscape is quite flat and this can cause problems for the school with strong winds being a regular threat.
One of the classrooms is quite new, but a roof has been blown off one of the older buildings.

Herne Junior School
Herne Junior School is set in extensive grounds in a residential area to the east of Petersfield, a small market town in an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty with views to the South Downs.
During September 2009 Four Ugandan Rangers visited Herne Junior School to meet the Children and take part in a school assembly. Afterwards members of the school council gave the Rangers a tour of the School and then hosted a traditional English Tea Party in honour of their Ugandan Guests.
Herne School has plans to develop links with the English Ugandan Community as well as working with the Twinning Project to create internet links between its twinned school.
Herne's participation in the Twinning Project was recently featured in the News (see press cuttings page)
